If you have an existing club that would like to, or is offering pétanque purely as a leisure activity, you can still receive support from the region. This is because we value the concept of sowing the seeds for future opportunities and simply want to raise awareness of the game.
Some clubs are happy at only providing casual relaxed social play and do not wish to become involved with the additional complexities of becoming an officially recognised and registered pétanque club.
You may have members who just want to turn up, play some pétanque, maybe with local rules and wrap up after a few short games. Still, your club might be looking to attract new members and understand the basics—such as what equipment is needed and how to throw a boule.
You may also need guidance on building pétanque terrains, with questions like: How big should it be? What surface is best? Should games be played one-on-one or in teams? How and where do we get boules from?
The good news is that PNW can support you on this journey. We offer basic training sessions, provide advice on building terrains, help generate high-quality content to promote your club, and act as consultants to guide you every step of the way."
If you are interested in becoming a PNW Affiliate Club then why not let us know by getting in touch. We can then discuss in more detail the benefits of such a scheme as well as answer any questions you may have.
